By accessing or using Shru ("the Service"), operated at shru.app and via the Shru mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Shru is an educational platform that helps users explore ancient wisdom from sacred texts including the Bhagavad Gita, Tirukkural, Hanuman Chalisa, and more. The Service includes verse reading, audio recitation, interactive quizzes, real-life scenarios, an AI-powered virtual mentor, and gamification features.
You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Shru offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through Apple In-App Purchase on a monthly or yearly basis. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
The sacred texts presented in Shru (verses, translations, and traditional commentary) are drawn from public domain or openly licensed scholarly sources. Our original content — including the app design, AI-generated educational material, gamification system, and branding — is owned by Shru and protected by copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our original content without permission.
Certain features (virtual mentor, quiz generation, scenarios) use artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and respectfulness, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The AI mentor is not a substitute for qualified spiritual or religious guidance.

Shru is built with deep respect for the sacred texts and traditions it presents. We ask that all users engage with the content respectfully. We reserve the right to restrict access for users who use the Service in ways that are disrespectful to the texts or their traditions.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be perfectly accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shru shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be removed per our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
